Our First Family Photos - in Seoul!

We were so thankful for our sweet friend Beth, who graciously offered to take our very first family photos...in Seoul! We've been friends with Beth since way back to our Wilmore days, and she and her husband Jordan happened to be stationed in South Korea when we traveled to meet Gideon and finalize our adoption. On our second full day as a family, Beth and her cousin made the hour-long journey to meet our little buddy, tour Gyeongbokgung, and take some photos! Gideon was uncertain at first, but he ended up LOVING watching the girls in traditional hanboks at the palace. We had to stop his little hands more than once from reaching up and grabbing their skirts as they walked past. Fortunately, the girls loved Gideon just as much, and Beth's cousin translated for us as the girls talked about just how cute and handsome he was!

Beth had quite the challenge with two nervous parents and one anxious little boy who didn't want to leave the hotel room, and we may or may not have spilled yogurt all over Gid's outfit just as we were walking out the door, but she worked her magic and gave us such a priceless gift! We are so in love with these photos and all the culture and emotions they will forever hold. Beth and Jordan have since moved on to Germany, but if you find yourself near Kaiserslautern over the next few years, you definitely need her to take your family photos! You can find Beth's website HERE.
All photos were taken at Somerset Palace, in the garden behind Somerset Palace, and Gyeongbokgung Palace in Seoul, South Korea.
